Table Mountain

We will start the day by summiting Table Mountain, via cable car! For those not quite brave enough to do it by foot, the cable cars hold up to 65 people and has rotating floors, allowing you a 360 degrees view. This picture-perfect sight overlooks the city, Robben Island as well as the incredible Atlantic seaboard. You will be able to see many of Cape Town’s world-renowned beaches: from Camps Bay, all the way down to Llandudno and Hout Bay.

Visit the Noon Gun

We will visit the historical Noon Gun on signal hill and watch it fire up to signal the middle of the Day

Beautiful Bo-kaap

After our descent, we will head to the wonderfully colourful neighbourhood of Bo-Kaap, formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter. This vibrant, and predominantly Muslim neighbourhood will not only open your eyes to the Islamic history found in Cape Town, but will also show you the strong influence that Muslims have had on this city. The neighbourhood is home to nine mosques, including the very first mosque built in the country; the Auwal Masjid, which we will definitely make a turn by.

Halal Lunch

Cape Town being one of the most Muslim-friendly cities in the world means that you have plenty of halal lunch options. We will escort you to one of the restaurants nearby

Company Gardens

After a delicious lunch, we will enjoy a calming walk in the central park, known as the Company Gardens. Enjoyed by locals, tourists and squirrels alike, the garden is rich in history and flora. The region’s first European settlers originally created the garden in the 1650s. Today, the Company Gardens is a heritage site that sees local artists performing and entertaining along the footpath.

Green Market Square

Are you ready for some shopping? Our next stop will be the Green Market Square. Located in the centre of old Cape Town, this historical square was built in 1696. Over the many years, the square has served as a slave market, a vegetable market, a parking lot and today, a craft market offering some of the best African crafts and designs.

Iziko Slave Lodge Museum

To end of a busy day, our last stop will be the Iziko Slave Lodge Museum, where you will learn a little bit more about South Africa’s history. One of the oldest buildings in Cape Town, the site has seen many names. This reflects the long and rich history of both the building, and surroundings. Operating under the theme of “From human wrongs to human rights,” the museum displays the long history of slavery in South Africa.

Time to head to the Hotel

Once we have completed our museum tour, we will return to the hotel.
